Membership

How do I become a member?

Starting Point

Starting Point is a two-week class that meets the first two Sunday mornings of each month at 9:00 in Room 402, which is located just inside entrance B. Starting Point is not a requirement for membership, but is a good place to “start!” To find out about the next class, call the church office 740/654-0099 or email Teresa Sullivan.

Walk forward any Sunday

An opportunity is given at the close of each worship service to walk forward and become a member of Fairfield.

Talk with a Counselor or Pastor

After you walk forward, there are those who will talk with you individually regarding your decision (Membership Requirements). If that is not a convenient option, you can set up an appointment with a Pastor to speak more by contacting our office at 740/654-0099. Someone is always available during office hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) to speak with you.

Be Baptized

If you have never been immersed in baptism as a believer before, you will get the opportunity after talking with a counselor, or to schedule another time. Since Christ asked us to believe in Him, turn away from self-willed living, and be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20), baptism is a requirement for membership at Fairfield.
